Red Dress Day Event in Ashern

Red Dress Day is on Tuesday May 5th and is a day to remember and honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit (MMIWG2S+) loved ones. Lakeshore Family Resource Centre invites you to a beading circle from 1 to 3pm, to create your own small red dress pin. To ensure there are enough materials, you must register by calling 204-768-2340. There will also be an outdoor installation of Red dresses set up on display from 12noon to 7pm. This space is for reflection and remembrance. You can tie a ribbon or leave a message in honour of someone.  Everyone who visits will receive a red ribbon.
