Cause of Fire Determined
The investigation into what caused the fire at the Dauphin Village Mall is complete.
Dauphin fire chief Cam Abrey says the Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner has determined the cause to be electrical and accidental, originating from a deep fryer in Corrina's on Main.
The fire on Wednesday destroyed the Dauphin Village Mall, which is where Corrina's on Main, the CNUF office and boutique, and Cuts Ahead operated.

MVSD Needs to Reduce Number of Students in K-3 Classrooms
Mountain View School Division may have a bit of a struggle reaching a K-3 class-size goal set by the province.
The province wants at least 90 per cent of all K-3 classes to have 20 or fewer students by 2017.
Superintendent Donna Davidson says MVSD may have to look into split classes.
"We'll be challenged because in 2017, the province is saying that 10 per cent of our K-3 classrooms are allowed to be over, 90 per cent are not."
Currently, 30 per cent of Mountain View's K to 3 classes are over the limit, but about 71 per cent of those classes are over by just one student.

Remembering Ken Taylor
American Secretary of State John Kerry is paying tribute to Ken Taylor, saying his "pure courage'' underscored the depth of US-Canada friendship.
Taylor, the former Canadian ambassador to Iran, died of cancer in New York at the age of 81.
He became a hero in Canada and the US for sheltering six Americans in Tehran during the height of the Iranian hostage crisis that started in 1979.
Taylor also played a major role in spiriting the six Americans out of Iran using false Canadian passports.
Bruce Heyman, the current US ambassador to Canada, hailed Taylor for his "valour and ingenuity'' during what became known as the "Canadian Caper.''

Election Heads Into Final Weekend of Campaign
With three days left in the election campaign, the federal party leaders will spend today looking for votes in ridings won by opponents in the last election in 2011.
Prime Minister Harper will be in the Quebec City area, while NDP Leader Tom Mulcair will be in Quebec and Edmonton Centre.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau spends today in the so-called 905 belt that surrounds Toronto.
