The organization that ran the Chase the Ace event in Winnipegosis didn't expect the jackpot to get as big as it did.
A total of $69,106 was finally awarded at Saturday's draw with only nine cards remaining.
Raven Welburn took home the prize.
Jim Lytwyn from the Winnipegosis Elks Club says the people who came out were great, and the influx of visitors coming to the community provided a huge economic boost to the area.
He also says the Elks Club is in the process of making amendments to its lottery license.
"(To) allow ourselves probably the chance to sell more tickets. Our initial thought was that we had enough tickets to sell. As the draw got bigger and bigger, we realized there was an opportunity to sell more."
The Chase the Ace was held at the Mossey River Inn.
