Manitoba's Ag Minister says the agriculture industry contributes a large portion of the province's GDP and we need to keep supporting it.
Ron Kostyshyn points out that part of this year's provincial budget is funding for the Composites Innovation Center and a new fibre processing and proto-typing centre.
Kostyshyn says the centre's capabilities will give producers additional dollar value for a crop on top of what it's intended for.
Funding for the CIC's new fibre processing and proto-typing centre is being provided by MAFRD and Growing Forward 2.
