Dauphin RCMP responded to multiple break and enters in Gilbert Plains on Monday February 28.
That evening, officers responded to reports of a break and enter at a business on Main Street North where the male suspect had kicked in the front door as well as smashed a window before running away on foot after noticing an employee inside.
Later that evening the Mounties received reports of a second break and enter at a different business on Main Street North where the suspect entered through the side door and damaged property inside.
The RCMP were able to identify the suspect and arrested a 27-year-old male from Gilbert Plains. He has been charged for both break and enters and has been released for an upcoming court date.
