On Sunday the Swan River RCMP responded to a shooting at a home on the Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation.
After an initial investigation, the RCMP determined that two people were in the house when the male suspect who was known to them showed up.
The suspect entered the house and an argument occurred which resulted in the suspect shooting the male in the house.
Police say a 40-year-old male was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The RCMP have identified the suspect after he fled the residence.
An arrest warrant has been issued for 28-year-old Stacey Stevens of Swan River who is wanted on Attempted Murder, Discharge of a Firearm with Intent and Weapons Possession contrary to an Order.
