Some progress was made over the last week, as a late harvest is now underway across the province. As of yesterday's crop report, Manitoba is sitting at just 15% complete harvest, well down from the five-year average of 51% for this time of year.
In the Northwest region, 18% of the harvest is done, with winter wheat and fall rye leading the way at 100% complete. Field peas are next up, with 68% of the harvest done in the region, while spring wheat is at 50%. Harvest of barley, oats, canola, and potatoes hasn't begun in the region.
