A man was stabbed and a man from Winnipeg faces several charges.
On Saturday at 6:00 a.m., Swan River RCMP were at a house in the RM of Mountain after 34-year-old Clinton Duck stabbed the homeowner. The homeowner was treated at the hospital and later released.
About 30 minutes later, officers received a report that Duck was trying to steal items from vehicles in Bellsite, which is about 60 kilometres away from Swan River. While in Bellsite, officers responded to a property on Mountain Avenue after a report of a stolen vehicle that was located. A quick search of the truck led to the seizure of a knife believed to have been used in teh stabbing earlier in the day.
Duck now faces charges of Break and Enter, Robbery, Theft of a Motor Vehicle x2, Theft Under $5,000 x2, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Obstruction and numerous Fail to Comply with Release Order Conditions. He remains in custody.
