Swan River RCMP are investigating a head-on collision that took place Tuesday afternoon.
The collision took place on Highway 10, about 1 and a half km north or Road 224 north.
The investigation by Mounties has revealed that a vehicle traveling southbound on Highway 10, near Road 224 North, veered over the center line, colliding with a suspected stationary vehicle parked on the east edge of the highway.
A 42-year-old male driver of the northbound facing vehicle, and his 31-year-old female passenger, were both transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 36-year-old male from Winnipeg, along with his 29-year-old male passenger, from Swan River, were both transported to hospital with critical injuries.
Swan River RCMP, along with RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team, and a Traffic Analyst continue to investigate.
