For the second time this spring, the Dauphin Consumers Co-op has made a massive donation to the Ukrainian Folk Arts Centre and Museum.
More commonly known as Selo Ukraina, the society has received a $35,000 contribution from Co-op, who last month provided them with thousands of gallons of paint in order to spruce up the festival site before Countryfest and Canada's National Ukrainian Festival.
Society President Jim Perchaluk says the money will be used towards the construction of a permanent agriculture heritage exhibit, to be located at Ukrainian Heritage Village.
"Dauphin is known for its farming background and the success over the years of producing grain that feeds the whole world. But if you travel around Dauphin, there is no permanent exhibits in our community that success in our community and how it has evolved over the years."
Total cost of the project is around 230 thousand dollars.
