Ste.. Rose du Lac RCMP have made an arrest after attending a gun call.
Thursday morning at around 2:45 am, Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP received a report of a person pointing a firearm inside a residence on 4th Avenue in McCreary.
Upon attending, officers were advised by the homeowner that the suspect, a female and known to them, had assaulted the homeowner and her two children inside the home and threatened them with a firearm.
Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP, along with Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Services, and Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) began searching for the suspect.
Officers quickly located the suspect outside a residence on Broderick Street by using the drone, however, the firearm was not located.
Officers and Police Dog Services Marook were able to safely arrest the suspect without incident.
There were no serious physical injuries to anyone inside the residence.
38-year-old Lacey Campbell, of McCreary, has been remanded until a court appearance and charged with the following:
two counts of a Pointing A Firearm, 3 counts of assault, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, and three counts of Uttering Threats Against a Person
Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP continue to investigate.
