A boil water advisory is in place for those affected by the water line break east of Gilbert Plains and north of Highway 5.

Until Further Notice, all water used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before it is used for:
  • Drinking and ice making;
  • Preparing beverages, such as infant formula;
  • Preparing food, including washing fruits and vegetables; and
  • Brushing teeth.

You don't need to boil tap water for laundry or washing dishes. You can also use water to have a bath or shower.

The water in the area will be shut off again on Tuesday, starting at 9:30 a.m., as crews continue to fix the break.
