The Countryfest Community Cinema has rolled out a membership program, as they look at long term sustainability for the theatre as well as sparking more interest from the public in attending movies.
General Manager Shawn Sarkonak says it is similar to streaming services like Netflix and Apple Music.
"You sign up online, and it gives you one free ticket a month for the bronze membership, which is $10/month. Silver is $20 a month, and includes two free tickets per month. And our gold is $40 and includes 4 free tickets. And along with that there is some discounts at the concession. And if you purchase tickets online for regular price, you will get some discounts out of that."
You can sign up for a membership through the Countryfest Community CInema's website or in person at the Cinema, located next to the Parkland Rec Complex.
