The City of Dauphin's Sunshine Awards shine a light on those whose efforts foster pride, connection, and quality of life in Dauphin.

They celebrate the people and organizations who quietly, but powerfully strenghten the community. On Monday, the awards were handed out.

"I think it's really important. It's something that I am very proud that council has created these awards," said David Bosiak, Mayor. "These awards acknowledge and recognize some of those folks that get involved in things. All of them don't do it for attention or recognition. It's our little way of acknowledging the good things they do to make Dauphin a great place to live, work, and be."

The 2025 honourees are Allan Gray, Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy, Jean-Louis Guillas, and Maamawi Park Planning Committee.

"Council sits down and talks about what makes Dauphin a great place," ended Bosiak. "There are people behind so many activities and events, so these are the four we're honouring at this time. There will be more in the future. All four of these individuals or groups are very deserving because they help make Dauphin a great place."
