A 20-year-old is facing charges after firing a gun and injuring another individual.
On December 3, the Manitoba First Nations Police Service responded to shots fired at a home on Lake Road North on the Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation. The victim and suspect got into an altercation inside the home.
The suspect shot the victim with a homemade gun. The victim was airlifted to Winnipeg by STARS air ambulance.
Then on December 4, officers found the suspect, 20-year-old Samora Richard.
She faces charges of assault with a weapon, discharge a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with a release order.
