Chronic Wasting Disease has been found in deer in two locations in the Parkland.
Manitoba Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures has announced that it's identified five new cases of Chronic Wasting Disease in the province, including two cases in the R-M of Swan River.
The provincial department added it’s also found one new case near Dropmore - south of Roblin.
CWD impacts animals in the deer family.
The province says the new cases were in three mule deer, two females and one male, and two male white-tailed deer.
They are asking people hunting to send their animals for testing, especially those hunting in areas with confirmed cases of CWD.
A total of 35 CWD cases have been confirmed since 2021, according to the province.
