2026 will bring the next round of municipal elections in Manitoba.
CKDM News Now recently asked Dauphin Mayor David Bosiak if he will be seeking re-election.
"I have made a decision but I am not going to announce it out loud yet. We have had some discussios with other members of council about what their intentions are. I am expecting further on into the spring is when everbody will be indicating what their plans are so I will try to keep it close to the vest for right now."
Meanwhile Ernie Sirski is Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Dauphin.
"Well I think it will come down to seeing if I can get enough people to sign my nomination papers. I am giving it serious consideration to run again but I will make that decision in the near future."
The Municipal Elections will take place in October.
