Several Manitoba companies came out on top during the Ag Innovation Showcase during Manitoba Ag Days.
Two businesses from Homewood took home honours, with North Valley Precision Planting winning the Agricultural Equipment division, while R-Tech Industries finished atop the Farm Safety division.
Two businesses from Oak Bluff were also recognized, as ATP Nutrition finished as runner up in the Agronomics division for its Convey Prime X project, while Prairie Grain Analyzer won the Farm Built Solutions category for its PGA Automated Auger Sampler.
Farm Shop Connect of Treherne took top honours in the Ag Technology category, while Kanpar and allagparts of Winkler finished atop the Animal and Livestock Division.
Manitoba Ag Days wrapped up yesterday in Brandon with organizers very pleased with the tournout despite the bitterly cold weather conditions over the past few days.
The Ag Days 50/50 draw was made Friday morning, with Gary Kanning winning a record $96,955, smashing last year's previous high of $92,685.
Proceeds from the 50/50 go to the Ag Days Gives Back Fund, which supports ag education and community groups across WestMan and the Parkland.
