Parks Canada announced additional closures in Riding Mountain National Park this morning, with prescribed fires ongoing.
New closures include the Jackfish Creek area east of Lake Audy, and the Seech-Hopper area west of Lake Audy. Previously in-place closures include Lake Audy Road and Lake Audy Dam Road, the bison enclosure and facilities, and numerous trails in the area. Pictured below is the current closure map.

In Parks Canada's latest news release on the prescribed fire in Riding Mountain National Park, they say around 200 hectares of grasslands have been burned around Lake Audy campground, along Jackfish Creek, and in the bison enclosure.
