There is bad behaviour behind the wheel....... And then there is this.
Around 8 pm on April 24th, RCMP pulled over the driver of a Ford Escape on the Perimeter Highway, after it was clocked going 177 km in a 100 km/hr zone.
His reason for the high speed..... he wanted to "open it up to see what it could do."
A roadside breath sample was collected, which showed a blood alcohol concentration between .50 and .79.
The 38-year-old driver received fines of $1,058 for the excessive speed, along with a three day vehicle impoundment, and an immediate roadside prohibition, which carried a further $400 fine and a three day license suspension.
