The DRCSS's Wellness Centre currently supports roughly 20 local families with food hampers.
It also provides meal kits to students throughout the week. On Saturday, Caddie's Golf Simulator and Lounge at 15 Memorial Boulevard in Dauphin is holding a food drive to give back.
From 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the food drive will take place.
"If you bring items, you will get free golf all day," said Lauryn Kuzyk. "We're also going to be hosting competitions. Closest to the pin and longest drive. There will also be a 50/50 and a silent auction."
There will also be door prizes. So the more items you take, the more entries you get. All donated items go directly to the Wellness Centre.
"The most needed food items are cereal, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, canned fruit, and oatmeal," added Kuzyk. "When it comes to hygiene, they're really in need of soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and shampoo."
It's your chance to bring an item and make a difference in the community.
Whether it's one can of pasta sauce or 10, you can make a difference and help a local family or student thrive.
At Caddie's, that's what it is all about.
"We are all about community at Caddie's. We really believe community is important," ended Kuzyk. "With everything happening in Dauphin, we wanted a way to give back to the community. We want these items to reach the people in our community who need them the most."
That's the great Food Drive at Caddie's Golf Simulator and Lounge on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:00.
