Two people have been charged after altercations at a Russell home last week.
Around 3:30 Wednesday morning, the RCMP received a report of a woman punching and kicking an 20-year-old woman.
The victim was treated by paramedics.
Mounties arrived, with one of the officers being punched in the side of the head by a 29-year-old man.
Maverick Oudie of Dauphin was charged with both assaulting and resisting a police officer, while 25-year-old Tanis Cooke of Waywayseecappo was charged with one count of assault.
Both were released and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
