The City of Dauphin's Waste Disposal Site has reopened following a brief closure.
They're now waiving disposal fees for flood-damaged materials brought to the Site for the remainder of this week. You can take flood-damaged materials between 8:30 and 5:30 on Thursday and 8:30 and 4:00 on Friday and Saturday.
This service is only available to City of Dauphin residents affected by flooding. You will be required to provide your address at the gate.
"Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this week's flooding. We hope this small step helps as our community begins to recover," the City said in a release.
If you do not have a truck or trailer, the City of Dauphin is exploring ways to assist residents who are unable to transport the materials. They will provide additional information if an option becomes available.
