In the courts this past week, a Swan River man arrested in connection with a report of shots fired outside of a home on the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation, has appeared in court again.
34-year-old Joshua Stevens was charged with numerous offences in December of last year, and remains in custody until his next slated appearance on August 5th.
Meanwhile, a new court date was also set for a woman, who admitted to a death on the Waywayseecappo First Nation in 2023.
A pre-sentence report has previously been ordered for 27-year-old Talisa Brandon, after she plead guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
She is due back in court on Aug. 31.
