If you're looking for a way to get out of the house and go somewhere on Saturday, you have two great options right in your own backyard: Ashern and Ethelbert and holding their community-wide yard sales this weekend.
Lynn Burdeniuk, Administrative Assistant, said Ethelbert's yard sales are usually received pretty well, and though they have eight locations signed up so far, there's always sales that pop up without being signed up.
"We have eight locations, there is also a locations set up at our curling rink parking lot, so there'll be a few people there for sure...there are maps available at local businesses for people to pick up, and it begins at 9:00, and then they just hit all the sales. It's a good turnout usually, we see a lot of people also from other communities come in specifically for the yard sale," said Burdeniuk.
Ashern is set to hold their town-wide yard sale on the same day, starting at 9:00 AM, and continuing until 3:00 PM. Centennial Hall is also available, and there will also be a BBQ lunch beside the post office, at the Chamber trailer.
