After a wet start to the week, some Northwest area farmers were able to make progress on harvest operations later in the week and during the weekend.
According to the latest Manitoba Agriculture Crop Report, 24 per cent of this year's crop in the region is now in the bin, up from 19 per cent the previous week.
Canola harvest is approximately 10% complete, with below average to average yields being reported.
Spring wheat harvest is approximately 50% complete, with yields ranging from slightly below average to above average.
75 per cent of the field pea crop is harvested, with yields ranging from below average to average.
A majority of soybeans are in the late R6 to R7 stage, while winter cereal seeding continues.
Across the province, 43 per cent of the crop has been harvested.
