October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

And in conjunction with that, the Parkland U18 Rangers are set to host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer night this weekend.

The game is sset for Saturday night when they will host the Kenora Thistles, and parent organizer Ashley Shaw says there will be a number of activities planned.

"There will be a 50/50 draw, and then there will also be three large raffle prize draws.  We have an E-bike and Jets tickets among them, as well as a cooler with beverages in it.  We also have the $10,000 shoot to win.  So it is $20 for an entry for that, and we will draw names to take part."

The Rangers will also be wearing specially designed pink jerseys for that game only.

Proceeds go to cancer wards across the Parkland region.

Puck drop is 7:30 Saturday night at Credit Union Place.
