A pair of traffic stops by the RCMP in Dauphin on Saturday, May 30th has left four people facing drug charges.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on May 30th, officers conducted a traffic stop on 11th Avenue SW. A search of the vehicle recovered 3 grams of cocaine, some cannabis shatter, and a large amount of cash.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man from Dauphin, as well as a 32-year-old woman from the RM of Lakeshore. They face charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Crime.
Later that evening around 10:50 p.m., officers pulled over a vehicle on 7th Avenue SE. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 19 grams of methamphetamine, Canadian currency, bear spray and various drug paraphernalia.
A 38-year-old man and 39-year-old woman — both from the Long Plain First Nation — are facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Police continue to investigate.
