Celebrating our agricultural history is the focus of the annual Threshing Day, hosted by the Dauphin Agricultural Heritage Club.
The event is set for August 30th, and will include a number of activities, according to club president Fern Beasse.
"Basically, a threshing machine is an early version of a combine, except that it was more labour-intensive. But it did the same thing. And from there, we will go to how the grain was cut using a binder, and tying up the grain into sheaves. And then we will also have some stooking demonstrations, which they used in the past to allow the grain to dry."
There will also be a pancake breakfast, wagon rides, and more.
It will take place 1-1/2 miles north of the Valley River road, also known as provincial road 362.
