A man from Gilbert Plains and a woman from Grandview face a slew of charges after a traffic stop in Dauphin.
Last Friday at 8:30 a.m., Dauphin RCMP stopped a vehicle driving with a stolen license plate. Dustin Robertson of Gilbert Plains and Shaunene Lefort-Lynx of Grandview both had outstanding warrants and were arrested. Dustin was also driving without a driver's license and was impaired by an illicit drug.
During a search of the vehicle, officers found two loaded firearms, drug paraphernalia, illicit drugs, and ammunition. Neither occupant was lawfully able to possess firearms.
Robertson faces several charges, including:
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000;
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000;
• Unauthorized Possession of Firearm X 2;
• Unsafe Storage of Firearm X 2;
• Weapons Possession Contrary to Order X 3;
• Fail to Comply Undertaking X 2;
• Drive without a valid license;
• Drive an Unregistered Vehicle;
• Drive a vehicle without motor vehicle liability insurance;
• Drive a vehicle with unauthorized number plates;
• Unlawful Transportation of Cannabis in a vehicle; and
• As an unlicensed driver, operate a vehicle while being unable to pass a drug screening test.
Lefort-Lynx faces a number of charges, including:
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000;
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000;
• Unauthorized Possession of Firearm X 2
• Unsafe Storage of Firearm X 2; and
• Unlawful Transportation of Cannabis in a vehicle.
