It's time for Dauphin residents to spruce up their yards before the inevitable arrival of winter.
The city's fall clean up program begins on Monday, with city crews making one pass through the city to collect items like grass clippings, garden waste, branches and leaves.
Deputy city manager Lisa Gaudet says collection will begin Monday morning in the Day four waste collection area, and then go in reverse order of the normal garbage cycle.
"We are asking residents to place the items in the back lane for collection, or if they do not have a back lane they can place the items neatly on the boulevard near the curb. Since large equipment is used, the items should be close to the lane or curb in order to prevent property damage. And we ask that they please place the materials in a clearly identifiable pile or in biodegradable bags or boxes."
Among the items that will not be collected are household garbage, recyclables, and hazardous waste.
