Rotary is a close-knit organization which carries over to organizations around the world.
For Rotary Club of Dauphin member Ross McAuley, he says he has been welcomed by Rotary clubs anywhere around the world that he has travelled to.
It's that camaraderie that he says has kept him active in Rotary ever since he first joined the organization in 1989.
"I was a winter snowbird for several years, and spent three months of every year in Texas. I joined a club there, and it was a very positive experience. I spent many memorable times with them and their fundraising projects, and having fun with that club."
Ross says anyone who is interested in joining Rotary should come to one of their meetings, which take place on Tuesdays over the noon hour.
He adds that you are also more than welcome to contact any Rotary club member and ask them about the organization.
