Contractors for Manitoba hydro are beginning work today in both the R-M of Dauphin and Mossey River Municipality, clearing trees and bushes away from their power lines.
The work, which is expected to wrap up by March of next year, is being done to make sure there is adequate clearance for power lines in the area, which will in turn minimize the risk of tree-related power outages and electrical shock potential for not only the public, but also for Manitoba Hydro staff.
Work will be done manually as well as with the assistance of bucket trucks and mulching equipment.
Residents are cautioned that the contractors may have to enter your private property in order to complete some of this work.
