The third session of the 43rd Legislature in Manitoba has adjourned until Mar 2026 government house leader Nahanni Fontaine announced today.
“Manitobans elected our government because they want to be able to build a good life,” said Fontaine. “Every day, our government works toward that goal, by creating good jobs, improving health care and keeping our communities safe. Manitobans put their trust in us and we are going to keep delivering results for Manitobans.”
The Manitoba government also introduced three important pieces of legislation including:
- The Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation Amendment Act would keep costs down by maintaining Manitoba Public Insurance’s current vehicle registration model.
The Manitoba government will return in the spring with a full legislative agenda, including bills to protect whistleblowers, establish a Manitoba Crown-Indigenous Corporation, create a patient safety charter to improve patient safety, end mandatory overtime for nurses and many others.
