Families looking for an Easter weekend activity to do together are encouraged to head to Maamawi Park on Saturday morning.

Assiniboine College's Parkland Campus is hosting their annual Easter Egg-stravaganza hunt beginning at 10 am that morning.

Director Carol Stewart says it is going to be a busy day.

"It is a full morning with lots of free activities.  There will be the egg hunt of course, and we will also be giving away chocolate bunnies and other vegan and allergy-free treats.  There will also be face painting, games, bouncy castle, and bubbles and chalk.  Plus,  there will also be a cozy firepit for roasting marshmallows.  We usually play some music.  And, all of our friends from Parkland Campus as well as other volunteers will be there to help."

The egg hunt is for kids aged 12 and under, who are also encouraged to bring their own basket to collect the eggs in.
