A Dauphin woman has learned the hard way after using her cellphone while behind the wheel.
On Wednesday night at 6:30, Dauphin RCMP pulled over the female after she was using her phone while stopped on 1st Avenue NE in Dauphin.
She admitted to taking a photo while at the stop.
"Driving should require everyone’s full attention at all times," the RCMP said. "Motorists are encouraged to reduce the temptation to use their phones by keeping them out of sight or setting up an auto-reply when they receive a text or phone call while driving."
She was ticketed $672 for using a cellular device while driving and had her license suspended for three days.
